Consensys announced on Tuesday that users of the self-custodial crypto wallet MetaMask can now buy cryptocurrencies through Robinhood, a popular online trading platform. This integration allows MetaMask users to purchase digital assets using Robinhood's order flow, while Robinhood account holders can transfer and fund their crypto assets to their MetaMask wallet. The collaboration stems from MetaMask integrating Robinhood Connect, the trading platform's fiat-crypto on-ramp, as a service provider within its "Buy Crypto" feature, expanding access to cryptocurrencies and bridging traditional banking rails with the blockchain-based crypto economy.
