Charles Hoskinson Highlights Cardano's Future Upgrades Amidst Criticism
Apr 6, 2024
Charles Hoskinson, the founder of Cardano, is addressing recent criticism and pessimism surrounding the project by highlighting two major upgrades planned for the network. One of these upgrades, the Chang hard fork, is expected to be implemented in the second quarter of the year. It marks a significant milestone for Cardano as it transitions into the Voltaire era of its roadmap, introducing community-run governance. The Chang hard fork will enable on-chain community consensus, allowing ADA holders to vote on proposals and contribute to the network's decentralisation. Hoskinson expressed confidence in Cardano's scalability, governance, and innovation, emphasising the strength of the community amidst recent scepticism about the project's future. Additionally, the upcoming transition will introduce Delegate Representatives (DReps), a Cardano Constitution Convention event, and a community vote to ratify the first draft of the Cardano Constitution.
