This initiative is part of Dubai’s broader strategy to establish itself as a leading smart city. The blockchain solution aims to facilitate tamper-proof data sharing, reduce paperwork, and streamline customs clearance processes, thereby saving time and effort for local supply chains. According to Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation, this technology will significantly improve Dubai's business environment and reinforce its position as a global trade hub. The platform is expected to improve supply chain transparency and collaboration with other government entities, making the business environment in Dubai smoother and more transparent​.
