Apr 12, 2024
A recent survey conducted by Policygenius suggests that younger Americans, particularly those belonging to Generation Z and millennials, are more inclined to invest in cryptocurrencies compared to traditional stocks, indicating a significant shift in investment preferences among different age groups. The survey, conducted between October 16 and October 19, included 4,063 adult respondents in the United States, revealing that 20% of Gen Zers and 22% of millennials are more likely to invest in alternative assets such as cryptocurrencies and non fungible tokens (NFTs) as opposed to stocks. This trend reflects a greater willingness among younger generations to take financial risks and explore novel investment opportunities. Additionally, the survey highlights that younger individuals are increasingly turning to social media for financial advice, indicating a generational difference in financial behaviour and decision-making.
