Bitcoin advocate Anthony Pompliano believes that Bitcoin will play a crucial role in safeguarding wealth generated by artificial intelligence (AI) in the coming decade. In an interview with CNBC on June 24, Pompliano, founder of Pomp Investments, emphasised Bitcoin's potential as the preferred asset for AI-generated wealth storage. He dismissed notions that AI poses a threat to Bitcoin and the broader cryptocurrency market, foreseeing instead a symbiotic relationship between the two technologies. Despite recent market challenges, including the prospect of Mt. Gox selling billions in Bitcoin and significant outflows from Bitcoin exchange-traded funds, Pompliano remains optimistic. He anticipates periodic market corrections but expects a price rebound by late 2024 or early 2025, aligning with historical trends in Bitcoin halving cycles.
