Following the approval of spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the United States, Bitcoin sentiment in Australia surged by 25%, accompanied by a marginal increase in adoption rates in 2024, as revealed by the fifth annual Independent Reserve Cryptocurrency Index. The survey, encompassing 2,100 adults, highlighted that while positive sentiment saw a notable rise, further adoption was somewhat constrained by prevailing economic uncertainties. Notably, the surge in sentiment was particularly pronounced among individuals aged 55 and above, with favorability towards Bitcoin doubling among this demographic.
