Nigeria Launches AI and Blockchain Training Initiative for 1,000 Youths Annually

The Nigerian government has launched an initiative to train 1,000 youths annually in artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technologies, aiming to position the country at the forefront of global technological advancements. Vice President Kashim Shettima inaugurated the AI Expertise Blockchain and Technology Training and Outsourcing Initiative in Jigawa, highlighting Nigeria's ambition to lead in modern technologies. The program is implemented in partnership with the tech company Gluwa. Additionally, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu announced financial grants to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to boost the fintech ecosystem​​ .
